多数の腫瘍性疾患を分析し、その腫瘍の増殖とVEGFおよびVEGFR2の関係を検索した結果、VEGFR2と腫瘍の増殖には密接な関係があり、VEGFR2が多いほど腫瘍の増殖が強いことが明らかになった。
