    As the environment surrounding universities is becoming more severe, the number of universities that are trying to strengthen cooperation with external organizations is increasing, regardless of whether they are public or private, as a way to revitalize the university or keep it alive. In particular, there is a remarkable tendency to establish an external organization such as the "University Education Supporters Association (Parents Association)" whose main members are the parents of students, and to strengthen the relationship between the university and parents. Nevertheless, I have not been able to find any research or research reports in higher education research in Japan. This report clarified the current status of university education supporters' associations at Japanese universities, while also reporting the results of the national questionnaire survey conducted in 2020. Research and reports on university education supporters' associations are still rare, and the results and reports of this survey are valuable basic materials. At the same time, we are considering the significance and possibility of utilizing the organization of the educational supporters' association, the projects undertaken there, and the results for university evaluation.
